Learn to read Japanese without opening the app
Kanabit shows one kana character or JLPT N5 word on your iPhone lock screen and changes it every hour. You look at your phone dozens of times a day anyway. Hiragana first, then katakana, then the words you need for N5, with readings, meanings and audio.
iPhone, iOS 16 or later. Coming to the App Store.
How it works
- Add the Kanabit widget to your lock screen. The app shows you how in three steps.
- Glance. A new character or word appears every hour. Tap it to hear it and see an example.
- Mark what you know. Kanabit repeats what you missed and moves you forward on its own.
